Mike Snyder and Austin Chubb each had two hits and two RBI to lead the Moccasins to a 9-1 road win over Warner Tuesday afternoon at Lake Wales.
Jake Guengerich made the pitching start and worked five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, to even his record at 2-2. Austin Jackson, Nick Krolczyk, Mike Czenszak and Nate Carter each worked an inning in relief.
In addition to the two hits by Snyder and Chubb, Kyle Jackson had three hits and an RBI and T.J. Kuban also had two hits, as the Moccasins improved to 16-12. Leading 5-0 through seven innings, the Moccasins took advantage of a two-out Warner error in the top of the eighth to tack on three unearned runs, then Colin Kish supplied the Moccasins' final run with a solo home run, his first of the season, leading off the top of the ninth inning.
Dylan Gross drove in Warner's lone run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth that scored Brandon Kirby.
Dylan Heiring (3-2) took the loss, as the Royals fell to 19-22.
Tuesday's game ended a string of seven straight road games for the Moccasins in which they were 4-3.
This weekend they'll be back at Henley Field for a three-game Sunshine State Conference series against 14th-ranked Lynn (20-8). Friday's single game is at 7 p.m. and Saturday's doubleheader is at 1 p.m.
