The Moccasins won the final three singles matches, all in three sets, to upset 12th-ranked Rollins in their Sunshine State Conference match at Winter Park Thursday.
The win improved the 19th-ranked Moccasins to 10-8 overall, 3-4 in the SSC. Rollins slipped to 10-9, 3-4 in the SSC.
With the match tied at 3-3, the Moccasins got wins from Olivia Spagnuolo at No. 5 singles, Christie Nunnemann at No. 4 singles and Joalis Dominguez at No. 3 singles to claim the match. Nunnemann’s 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 win over Callie Whitlock produced the clinching point for FSC.
The Moccasins finish their regular season at home Wednesday with a 3 p.m. match against Florida Tech.ÂÂ
