The Mocs would grab the lead after back-to-back goals by Caitlin Chase (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) and Lorianne Hoover (Annapolis, Md.). Hoover and Megan Asper (Parkton, Md.) would close the half each scoring goals within under a minute to play in the first half to close the Royals lead to one.
Junior goalie Katie Hammerer (California, Md.) would start the second half in place of starter Lindsay Holdway (Fraser, Mich.). Hammerer would save three shots and allow only two goals, both goals were given up on free-position shots, on the way to getting her first win of the season.
Katie Ferree (Kennett Square, Pa.) would start the second half off right for the Mocs scoring a goal in the first 30 seconds of action. That goal would start a 3-0 run for FSC but two quick free position goals by Queens would tie the game back up at 10-10.
