NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— Florida Southern College women's lacrosse closes out the storybook 2026 season as the No. 1-ranked team in the final IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll of the season, as announced on Tuesday morning.

The Mocs (21-1) secured a 9-7 victory over No. 8 Maryville on Saturday to claim the program's second NCAA Division II National Championship and its first since 2016.

Florida Southern's championship run featured several marquee victories throughout the postseason. The Mocs defeated defending national champion Tampa in an overtime thriller to advance to the Quarterfinals before earning a 14-9 win over Flagler to earn their place in the Final Four. In the national semifinals, FSC powered past Pace to advance to the championship game.

With a National Championship to add to their 2026 resume, the Mocs also claimed both the Sunshine State Conference Tournament and Regular season titles, going a perfect 7-0 in conference play. The Mocs also named five as IWLCA All-Americans, three as USA Lacrosse Magazine All-Americans, six as IWLCA All-Region Selections, and nine All-SSC selections, including head coach Kara Reber and junior Kolby Cohen being named SSC Coach of the Year and Draw Specialist of the Year, respectively.
