PENSACOLA - West Florida showed why it carries the number eight ranking in the NCAA Division II by posting a 9-0 victory over visting Florida Southen Saturday at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex on the West Florida campus.
The Argonauts, 14-3, did not lose a game over the doubles and singles competitions posting 8-0, 8-6, and 8-1 wins in three doubles flights.
In singles Katie Stanford came the closest to recording a win as the rallied back in the second set only to fall 7-5 after dropping set number one by a 6-1 tally.
Florida Southern continues its series in Pensacola with a 10 a.m. match Sunday against Valdosta State in match to be played on the UWF courts.
