Moccasins Power Past Golden Bears

Box Score

LAKELAND, FL - Jeremiah Davis turned in his fifth 20-point game of the season as Florida Southern College men's basketball cruise past visiting Miles College, 92-76, on Friday night at Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins (4-7) used lockdown defense in the first half to stifle the Golden Bears (2-7), and carried the momentum through the remainder of the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Florida Southern raced out to an early double-digit lead after a Jeremiah Davis layup gave the Mocs a 15-5 advantage with 12:36 to go in the first half. • The Moccasins finished with a 45-41 edge in rebounds, a 44-20 advantage in points in the paint, and outscored the Golden Bears 16-0 on the fast break.
