DAYTONA BEACH, FL - Florida Southern College women's tennis stayed perfect in conference play on Thursday afternoon, cruising to a 6-1 win over Embry-Riddle. The No. 12 Moccasins (12-1, 3-0 SSC) won the doubles point over the No. 47 Eagles (4-5, 0-3 SSC) and nearly swept all the singles flights en route to their third win in a row.
Gabby Hesse stayed perfect in singles play, winning in two sets in the No. 6 singles flight for her second win of the season. Two Moccasins are now tied for the team-lead in singles victories with ten wins for both No. 23 Lorena Rionda and Lola Asis. Rionda won her fifth-straight singles flight, recovering from an 0-6 opening start to win in three sets, while Asis won in two sets over Alexis Marshall in the No. 5 singles flight.
