Andrew Williamson took the loss for the Mocs as he failed to get out of the third inning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions jumped out to an early lead, scoring 10 unanswered runs in the first four innings.
- FSC got on the board in the sixth, as first baseman Jacob Teter would score on a wild pitch. Teter led off the inning with a double to center.
- The Mocs would add another run in the seventh as right fielder Conner Berry would score on a ground out by Dylan Costa.
- In total FSC would send six men out on the mound, as Williamson, Collin Camarigg, Dawson Lane, Brant Brown, Jack Gallo, and Tommy Turkett all threw for the Mocs.
- Brant Brown and Gallo would be the only relivers to go more than one inning.
- Saint Leo starter Jared Beck picked up a quality start and the win for the Lions as he gave up two runs over six innings of work. This is the second time Beck picked up a win against FSC in as many starts.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- For the first time this season, centerfielder Vaun Brown did not score in a game.
- Also, for the first time this season, the Mocs failed to hit a home run as a team.
- Teter went 2-4 with a walk, extending his hit streak to 11 games. The senior standout has hit safely in 111 of his 141 career games.
- The Mocs fell to 134-56 all time and 73-22 in Lakeland against the Lions.
