LAKELAND, Fla. – No. 18 Florida Southern men's basketball hosts the 2022 Terrace Hotel Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 25-26 at Streamline Sale Court inside the George W. Jenkins Field House. The Moccasins will host Sunshine State Conference foe, Saint Leo University, as well as Anderson University and the University of Wisconsin Parkside.

The four teams converge on center court after Thanksgiving Day with two games Friday and two games Saturday. Saint Leo and Wisconsin-Parkside get things started at 5:30 p.m. before the Mocs take on the Trojans of Anderson University at 7:30 p.m. The following day, Nov. 26, the Lions and Trojans battle at 5:30 p.m. while the Mocs and Rangers close the classic at 7:30 p.m.

Florida Southern hosted the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic on Nov. 5-6 where the Moccasins picked up a 96-80 season-opening win over Flagler before knocking off then-no. 5 West Texas A&M 92-90. Following nine days of no live action, Southern traveled to Clayton State and earned a 100-98 win before opening Sunshine State Conference play with a 73-72 win over Palm Beach Atlantic on No. 19.

Jadin Booth (Nov. 7) and redshirt senior
E.J. Dambreville (Nov. 21). Dambreville was also named the D2CIDA Division II Player of the Week following his performance for the week Nov. 14-20 in which he scored a career-high 29 points in the Mocs' win over the Lakers in Morrow, Ga.

The Moccasins entered the top-25 of the NABC Division II Coaches poll this week, debuting as the 18
th-ranked program in the country. Southern also climbed inside the top-25 of the D2SIDA Media Poll to the 21
st-ranked team in the nation. Florida Southern currently sits fourth in the way too early South Region standings. The Mocs entered the national poll for the first time since week 12 of the 2020-21 season, which they held a rank of 23.

Anderson travels to Lakeland on a two-game win streak after opening the year 0-3 with losses to Lander (81-76), Flagler (110-90), and USC-Aiken (83-61), the Trojans picked up back-to-back wins over Belmont Abbey (81-78) and Johnson C. Smith (77-66) this past week.

The Trojans as a squad average 77.0 points per game and allow opponents to score an average of 83.6 a game. Anderson shoots .439-percent from the field including a .380 from downtown and .651 from the free throw line.

The Trojans have four players who average double-digits with Garrett Denbow the leader at 17.6 ppg, just ahead of brother Luke Denbow at 17.2 ppg. Myles Jenkins and Jacksen Greco both average 13.8 and 11.4 ppg for Anderson. Jenkins is the team leader in rebounding, hauling in an average of 9.0 boards per game.

Wisconsin-Parkside heads to Lakeland on a one-game win streak, moving to 3-1 on the year. The Rangers earned a 66-52 win over Northwood on Nov. 19 after dropping the HARIBO Invitational opener to Winona State 75-74 in overtime on Friday in Kenosha, Wisc. UWP opened the year with a pair of wins over Kentucky Wesleyan (73-59) and Ashland (74-66) in the Nexus Classic, which serves as the conference crossover tournament.

Overall, the Rangers average 71.8 points a game while holding their opponents to 63.0 points, while UWP shoots .444 from the field and .313 from beyond the arc. Having missed just 12 free throws all season, the Rangers shoot .786-percent from the charity stripe.

Rasheed Bello leads a trio of double-digit average scorers with his 18.0 points a game, through four games, with 72 total points thus season. Bello has 23 total assists, 5.75 per game, to lead the Rangers in assisting his teammates. Jamir Simpson is second on the team in scoring with 14.5 ppg while Colin O'Rourke is third at 11.0 ppg for the Green and White.

Saint Leo commutes to Lakeland with a 2-2 record after splitting its first four games, dropping the season opener to then-no. 24 Alabama-Huntsville (65-57) before defeating Montevallo (93-84) to close the trip to Huntsville, Ala. The Lions routed Johnson University-Florida 113-55 at home before falling to Florida Tech in the Sunshine State Conference opener (82-66).

As a team, the Green and Gold average 82.3 points per game and hold opponents to 71.5 ppg. The Lions hold a .496-percent shooting percentage from the field and .340-percent from beyond the arc while missing just 10 free throws all year, 43-for-53, for a .811 free throw percentage, the 18
th best percentage of all Division II.

Marty Jackson leads a trio contingent in double-digit scoring with an average of 16.3 ppg ahead of Kanon Koster at 14.8 ppg and Grant Disken at 14.3. Jackson, Koster, and Jared Coomer are all tied for the team lead in assists with 13 apiece while Koster is the team leader in rebounding with a slight lead of 7.0 rpg ahead of Jackson and Cantia Rahming at 6.5 rpg.
