LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's swimming team responded to yesterday's dual meet loss with a conference win against Lynn Saturday morning at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center Pool.
The Mocs won all but one event in the 14 events for the men to beat Lynn 189-72. The first individual event of the day was the 1000 free which
Keith Peristeridis took first, with teammate
Thomas Wooldridge in second. For the 200 free,
Milosz Mencel took first ahead of
Niko Frese in a close second.
Brandon Wilson had a pair of wins with the 100 and 200 backstroke, as
William Eriksson took third in both of those events.
The only event of the day for Lynn was a 100 breast win, as
Nicko Peristeridis and
Boris Mitev took second and third. Grad student
Theo Peristeridis won the 100 and 200 fly with
Tristan Clanton and
Kyle Hopewell right behind for podium sweep.
Matteo Zampese won the 50 free and 200 breast, before K. Peristeridis won his second event of the day in the 500 free.
Wilson led the way for a team-high third event win in the 200 IM as FSC won both the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.
The Mocs will head to Melbourne in two weeks to take part in the Panther Invitational, hosted by Florida Tech Nov. 18-20.
