GREENWOOD, S.C. – Florida Southern College esports advanced to the semifinals of the Peach Belt Conference League of Legends tournament with a 2-0 win over the University of Montevallo Friday in the PBC quarterfinals.
"For many of our players, this is their first in-person competition," Director of esports
Adam Antor stated. "That experience can bring about some nerves, so we focused on playing our game and finding comfort in our play style. I am excited about our semifinals matchup and looking forward to continuing in the playoffs."

Prior to the start of the quarterfinal matchup, Florida Southern's
Dylan Parramore was named the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) League of Legends (LoL) Player of the Year, Blue Division while freshman
Nicholas Dragowski was named the PBC LoL Rookie of the Year, Blue Division.
When asked about the accomplishment, Parramore says, "Obviously winning player of the year is a big accomplishment for me, but while I'm proud of myself I'm incredibly proud of my team especially Dragowski. Our team has come so far since the beginning of the season and has developed into people where we are not only friends in game, but friends out of game."
Florida Southern opened strong and took game one by a kill count of 22-7 in only 18 minutes to move ahead 1-0 in the match with Montevallo.
The Mocs continued their strong showing in game two and outkilled the Falcons 44-13 in 24 minutes to complete the 2-0 sweep to advance to the semifinals.
Florida Southern will return to action Saturday in the Peach Belt League of Legends Semifinals against USC-Aiken, who advanced with a 2-0 win over Columbus State earlier Friday. The match between the Moccasins and the Pacers is slated to start at 3 p.m., with the winner advancing to the championship at 6:30 p.m. to face the winner of Converse and Kennesaw State (12:00 p.m. semifinal).
