AIKEN, S.C. - The Florida Southern Moccasins won the 2023 Peach Belt Conference League of Legends tournament championship on Saturday in Aiken, S.C. FSC, who had reached the final in each of the previous four years, earns their first PBC League of Legends title. With the win, the Mocs earn the league's automatic bid to the College League of Legends national playoffs.
FSC entered the event as the #1 seed after finishing the regular season undefeated. Kennesaw State was the #3 seed and advanced to the final after defeating second-seeded North Georgia earlier on Saturday in the semifinals. FSC defeated #5 Columbus State in the semis.
Kyle Dodson was named the tournament MVP. Dodson was also named the regular-season PBC Newcomer of the Year, which was awarded on Friday. The event was hosted by the University of South Carolina Aiken.
The College League of Legends Championship will begin in early April.
This is the second Peach Belt Championship for the Mocs Esports this year with the Rocket League team winning in the fall semester.
