WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Florida Southern College men's soccer team fell 2-1 against Palm Beach Atlantic University on Saturday evening. The loss would be FSC's first Sunshine State Conference loss of the season, falling 2-1 against PBA.
The Mocs (4-3-5, 2-1-3 SSC) came out aggressive with the first shot of the game by junior midfielder
Luca Bernoth at 1:41. Tin Vastic from the Sailfish (5-4-2, 2-2-1 SSC) came away with the first goal at 10:30 and took an early 1-0 lead into halftime.
After halftime, the Mocs returned hot and immediately scored on a goal by freshman midfielder
Matthew Male at 49:25 that found its way into the bottom left corner of the net to make it 1-1. Not long after, PBA's Vastic answered back with his second goal of the night off a header from Yannick Toth's corner kick at 50:45 to make it 2-1.

AJ Pearce had three saves on the night, alongside the Sailfish's keeper who had three saves as well. Male led the Mocs with three shots, all on goal, followed by Bernoth with four shots and junior midfielder
Felix Tonne with one shot on goal. The Sailfish outshot the Mocs 12-8 and 5-4 on goal.
FSC will continue their three-game road streak as they travel to face off with Embry-Riddle on Wednesday, Oct.18. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
