Box Score ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's tennis team won its second consecutive conference game and third straight game with a 7-0 win over Eckerd College Friday afternoon at the Fred Bullard Courts.
The Mocs (3-2, 2-2 SSC) won each doubles court and continued their success in singles. The Tritons (1-2, 0-2 SSC) managed to win on one singles court but not enough for a conference win against the Mocs.
Each of the doubles courts went to the Moccasins 6-3, beginning with
Maxima Ellenberg and
Laura Vetter on the #1.
Vivien Charvatova and
Neli Sunjic had a great job at the second court, alongside
Kennedi Brown and
Kelly Klaren on court three. Mocs swept the doubles field against Rollins College as well in Wednesday's 4-3 conference win.
In singles, FSC handled nearly every court in two sets, only conceding a few games across the entire singles competition.
Laia Pasini had great success at #1 with a 6-1, 6-1 win, the same as Charvatova at #4 with the same score. Sunjic took on #5 in singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win with
Jolie Miller a 6-0, 6-1 in at #6.
Olivia Bryant continued her success, this time at the #3 court with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Ellenberg lost her first set to Misdorp and was unable to take the second as Eckerd took the #2 court in two.
Mocs will have a neutral site match against Davenport University Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the USTA Campus at 5 p.m.
