FSC swept Bates College with a 7-0 win and then carried that momentum into No. 23 Rollins on Wednesday. Mocs had a great top-25 battle with the Tars, and the Mocs came out on top with a crucial win on #1 court with Laia Pasini who came from behind to win in three sets. Vivien Charvatova, who had herself an undefeated singles and doubles week, was the tie-breaking win against the Tars and big week. With two wins in a row, Mocs hit the road for a conference matchup against Eckerd, where they would pick up their second SSC win in a row with a 6-1 final score. Another match with a sweep of doubles field, as Mocs won five of the six singles courts, each in two sets.

  • Florida Southern is riding a massive win against No. 4 Flagler Saturday afternoon in possibly the only win against a top-five opponent according to ranking history for the program. FSC rebounded after a tough loss against RV Rollins on Thursday, with a disappointing 5-2 SSC loss. Despite the loss, Moccasins found a renewed sense of spirit with a 4-3 win against the Saints at home. FSC won the doubles point for an early lead and set of tone that went into a tough singles field. The back-and-forth team battle began with a tough singles loss by Chris Fok Kow and Matteo Feggi after a big win by the pair in doubles. On #4, John Gidefjord had a big win in two sets against the top team and another tie team score with a loss by Lukas Bonfante. Despite being down two starters, Mocs continued to press with a massive third set win by Mario Garoz, which led to Alex Fascio's court. In another third-set tiebreak, Fascio outlasted Flagler with a win and 4-3 team victory for the Mocs.
  • Davenport is in Orlando for spring break and a long week at the USTA campus. Already with a 4-3 win over Warner University, a 4-0 loss to No. 10 Lynn, and a 4-3 loss to Findlay, the Panthers will take on Adrian College tomorrow morning before taking on the Mocs in the afternoon. • Florida Southern will take on the Panthers in a midweek battle with a seven-game win streak, sweeping the last two weekend series against Georgia College and State University, and Eckerd College. In their first conference series of the season, the Mocs had a great weekend with an 8-4 win on Friday night and winning both games of the doubleheader on Saturday. On Friday, ace Nathan Madej had 13 strikeouts in just six innings of work, the most strikeouts by a pitcher since 2017 when Logan Browning struck out 13 in seven innings. In addition to the work on the mound, FSC had homers by Connor Berry and Jeff Liquori to get a big 8-4 win. The first doubleheader game for the Mocs was a nailbiter as FSC had a 9-1 lead in the seventh, but Eckerd went on to score eight unanswered runs before Collin Camarigg struck out the last batter, leaving two on and 9-8 Moccasin win. Game three of the series went smoother for Florida Southern in a 14-5 rout of the Tritons and a series sweep.
  • FSC continues to improve their batting average, now up to .300 for the first time this season. Bryce Safferwich continues to shine with a team-high .408 average with Berry batting .380 and Rohsean Riley .308 as the top leaders for hitting. Drew Cavanaugh continues to have a great year as well with the primary catching duties and a .344 average in his nine appearances. Mitch Donofrio leads the team with 14 RBI, Safferwich with 13, and Liquroi and Cavanaugh tied with 12. FSC has 20 combined homers on the year, compared to just six of their opponents.
  • On the mound, Madej leads the team with a 2.05 ERA among starters, ahead of Aric McAtee with 2.14 and Jordan Fox with 3.45. McAtee and Fox each got a win this weekend, as Fox has continued to perform well in game three of a weekend series, with three starts and two wins this season. FSC pitchers have only given up six homers in 13 games and a great depth on the mound such as Justin Wit and Andrew Williamson and Camarigg. Mocs have a combined 4.35 ERA with nine wins and four losses in the 13 games.
  • Florida Tech travels to Lakeland for a midweek battle with the Mocs after a winning series against Lynn. After a 6-5 loss on Friday night, Panthers won the doubleheader to win the series and a 2-1 conference start. In game one, Tech lost on a ninth-inning homer and was unable to answer in the bottom of the ninth. In game one of the doubleheader, Tech had a surge of scoring early and enough to hold on in a 5-2 win. To win the series, the Panthers outlasted the Fighting Knights with three runs in the final few innings and a 9-5 win.
  • Panthers rely on top batting by Austin Sewell (.325) and Jason Blackstone (.320) with a combined team batting average of .253 (conference low). With only five home runs this season, two of them are from Roman Samson, with Sam Schner and Alec Eldridge tied with 10 RBI. On the mound, the Panthers have Sean Means, Mitch Harding, and Dylan Cleveland as primary starters. The team has a combined 4.71 ERA with a .236 opposing batting average.
  • History Mocs have a 108-36 overall record against the Panthers with a 6-4 record in the last 10 games. After a game one loss last year, Mocs won the next two to win last year's series, with a 9-7 score in the last time out. The average runs for this matchup is 6.9 in its history. Although a non-conference midweek game, FSC versus FT will be a regional game worth watching before a string of non-conference games over the next couple of weeks and upcoming spring break hosting.
