LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 20 Florida Southern College men's tennis team won its eighth straight match with a 4-3 victory over Thomas Jefferson University Wednesday afternoon at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.

The Mocs moved to 11-3 overall in the 2023 spring season and eight straight in a great run that led to Florida Southern moving into the top 20 in the latest ITA poll. The Rams lost only their third match of the season with an 11-3 overall record.

In doubles, the No. 6 pairing of Chris Fok Kow and Matteo Feggi won with a 6-1 score at the #1 court. The Rams put together a 6-2 win over the pairing of Mario Garoz and Ryan Rajakar, but court #3 had a big 6-2 win by Alex Fascio and Danny Thomas to win the doubles point.

A back-and-forth battle in singles competition for the Mocs as Garoz had a win at #3 6-0, 6-3 before the Rams responded with a 6-4, 6-2 win at #6 over Feggi. Answering was Inaki Braun Simo with a 7-5, 6-1 win at #2, and Fok Kow a 6-3, 6-4 win at the #1 court and match win. A win by retirement for the Rams at #5 and another Thomas Jefferson win at #4 court over Alex Fascio led to the 4-3 Moccasin win.
