The Moccasins and the Bearcats opened up with a 1-1 game after the first inning scoring on an RBI single down the left field line for Lander before FSC could tie it back up with a double from junior
Skyler Ralstin that put her into scoring position to score on an RBI single from junior
Taylor Thomas.
A Moc error cost five runs in the top of the fifth giving the Bearcats a 6-1 advantage until FSC tried to rally back in the bottom of the fourth scoring a graduate student
Maddi Conner on a
Kiki Morris single to right-center field to make it 6-2.
The final run for Lander came on a solo homer over the left-center field fence that gave the Bearcats back their five-run lead of 7-2.
In the bottom of the seventh, Florida Southern found some momentum scoring two runs from a ground out and sac fly but it was a little too late as the damage was done to fall in game one 7-4.
The junior Morris led the Mocs from the plate going 2-for-3, with one run and one RBI. In the circle, junior

Ralstin leadoff the bottom of the seventh with a double to right field that put her into scoring position. The Bearcat pitcher was trying to walk Conner, but a wild pitch allowed Ralstin to come across home plate to conclude game two with a 2-1, Moccasin win.
Ralstin led the way in game two going 2-for-3, with one run and one RBI. Junior
Mel Rogers got the win in the circle for FSC pitching a complete game allowing just one run on seven hits and striking out two batters.
