FSC never allowed PBA to score in game one of the doubleheader as sophomore Destiny Colgate led the way going a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate.

Colgate earned the first run in the top of the second, scoring on an RBI double from left fielder Leanna Kelly after reaching on a single to left field, putting the Mocs up 1-0.

The score remained the same, with FSC on top 1-0 until the top of the fifth when the Mocs' bats came to life, scoring seven runs to earn the run-rule victory and finish the game 8-0.

Sophomore Jadyn Bushnell reached on a walk and moved around the bases before scoring on a single through the left side from sophomore Kiki Morris to make it 2-0. Junior Skyler Ralstin hit an RBI single to score Morris and the Mocs increased their lead to 3-0.

The Sailfish tried pitching changes but junior Taylor Thomas hit a 2-run RBI double to right-center field as FSC increased their lead to 5-0. The momentum continued with a Colgate single, Kelsey Peck double, and Kelly single to bring in three more runners to finish game one with an 8-0 decision in favor of the Mocs.
