LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 6 Florida Southern women's lacrosse program picked up six First Team, one Second Team, and Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year honors when the Sunshine State Conference announced its annual awards Tuesday afternoon (May 2). Graduate student
Jackie Stoller was named the 2023 Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year, becoming the third player in Moccasin history to earn the honor, while also being one of six named to the First Team All-SSC.

Harper Muma was one of two freshmen to earn All-SSC honors, garnering second-team accolades.

Stoller, a midfielder from Wayland, Mass., ranks first in SSC points per game (5.05), third in assists per game (1.89), fourth in goals per game (3.16), and eighth in shots per game (5.16). Over 19 games this season, the graduate student accumulated 96 points off 60 goals and 36 assists with a .612 shooting percentage. Stoller becomes the third Florida Southern women's lacrosse athlete to earn Player of the Year honors, joining the ranks of
Emily Santoli (2017) and
Marina Jozokos (2021). The Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year award is presented by
College Ave Student Loans.

Lynch, Daleo, and McFerren all repeat with All-SSC honors from 2022 where Lynch and Daleo join a short list from the SSC to earn three or more First Team All-SSC plaques
1 including the Mocs' own Emily Santoli (three) and Meghan O'Brien (three). Tare repeats as a First Team selection while McFerren adds her First Team to her Second Team selection a year ago. Verrone and Muma add All-SSC accolades after their first season on the field for the Mocs. Â

Lynch, an attacker from Boca Raton, Fla., is fourth on the team this year in points with 59 and is second in assists with 26, adding 33 goals to her stat line. She ranks second in caused turnovers (25) and is tied for second in ground balls (27) behind Verrone. In her career, Lynch has 192 points on 111 goals and 81 assists while she has 80 ground balls and 69 caused turnovers.

Daleo, an attacker from Westhampton Beach, N.Y., has been consistent for the Mocs around the goal where she is second in goals (54) and third in total points (60) while adding six assists on the season. In her three-year playing career at Florida Southern, she heads into the NCAA postseason with 194 career points with 159 goals.

Tare, an attacker from Etters, Pa., repeats on the First Team and is second on the team in points (67) while she is third in goals (52), both ranking inside the top 10 in the SSC. She is sixth overall in total goals for the conference and eighth in goals per game while being ranked 40
th out of 174 in Division II. Tare joins Stoller as one of the top three free-position goal scorers in the nation with Tare ranking second in FP percentage (.783) ahead of Stoller in fourth (.760). The senior attacker is first in the conference and ranks 15
th in free position goals per game (1.12) heading into postseason play.

McFerren, a midfielder from York, Pa., earned First Team honors after posting 47 points this year with 32 goals and 15 assists while also sitting second on the team in draw controls with 58. She has 17 caused turnovers with 24 ground balls for the 2023 campaign. Through two years of action on the field (2022 and 2023), McFerren has 130 career points on 81 goals and 49 assists.Â

Verrone, a defender from Flanders, N.J., earned First Team in her first campaign for the Mocs after transferring in from Monmouth where she leads the SSC in caused turnovers (31) and caused turnovers per game (1.63) where she ranks 51
st out of 172 ranked players in Division II. Verrone also ranks in the top five this year in the SSC in draw controls (2
nd, 96), draw controls per game (2
nd, 5.05), ground balls (4
th, 43), and ground balls per game (5
th, 2.26). She scored her first career goal this season, at Saint Leo, before another in the Mocs' road win at Florida Tech. In her playing career, Verrone has 147 ground balls and 82 caused turnovers through 75 played games.

Muma, a defender from Bainbridge Island, Wash., earned Second Team All-SSC after earning her way into the starting lineup for the Moccasins. Muma has been a mainstay on the back line throughout the season having played in 17 games with 14 starts. Muma is fifth on the team in ground balls (22) and is tied for fourth in caused turnovers (14). In just her third collegiate game, Muma recorded her first career point with an assist against Alabama-Huntsville.

After posting a 16-3 overall record for 2023 and being ranked in the top 10 all season, No. 6 Florida Southern awaits the NCAA DII Women's Lacrosse selection show on May 7 at 8:30 p.m. to determine its postseason chances for regional play (May 12 and 14) on the road for the National Championship (May 19 and 21) that ends at Key Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
