LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's tennis team upset No. 4 Mississippi College by a 4-2 score Tuesday afternoon at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. The top-ranked win is the best of the season and matched last year's win over No. 4 Flagler as top program wins.

The Mocs (10-3) extended their win streak to seven after a dominating doubles performance and strong singles to clinch the top five win. The Choctaws (7-4) were unable to stop the momentum of FSC after doubles with only two court wins before the match was clinched 4-2 to the Mocs.

Chris Fok Kow and
Mario Garoz continued their success at the No. 1 court with an opening 6-3 court win.
Bosko Boskovic and
Inaki Braun Simo then secured the doubles point with a win over No. 38 pairing of Blanchard and Ellis in a 6-3 victory. Court #3 of
Matteo Feggi and
George Russell went unfinished with the point slated for the Mocs.

Russell, ranked 21
st in singles, had a tough match at the #1 court against No. 11 Blanchard in a 6-1, 6-2 loss, as did Braun Simo in two sets. Though the team score was leaning toward MC, the Mocs kept the pressure and won the next three flights to win the match, starting with Fok Kow at #2. Ranked 17
th in singles by the ITA, Fok Kow won 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) for a tie in team scoring. FSC was quick to take the lead with a ranked win by No. 39 Garoz over No. 71 Saint Martin 6-4, 7-6 (7-2). The match point was through Boskovic in two sets and a 4-2 match win for the Mocs.

The Mocs will host another top 25 team with No. 22 Auburn Montgomery tomorrow, March 13, set for a 3 p.m. start at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.
