LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's tennis team ended its historic week on the courts with a 7-0 win against the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras on Saturday afternoon at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.

The Mocs (13-3) extended their win streak to 10 matches after another 7-0 shutout. FSC went 4-0 on the week with wins over No. 4 Mississippi College, No. 28 AUM, and No. 1 UIndy.

Florida Southern opened double with back-to-back court wins by a 6-1 score as
Chris Fok Kow and
Mario Garoz won at the #1 court and
Lukas Bonfante and
Tanner Simpson at the #2 court. The doubles win by Bonfante and Simpson was the first NCAA win by the pairing or as an individual. With limited available players from UPR, the third court won by default in favor of the Moccasins.

In singles competition, No. 16 Fok Kow won 6-3, 6-3 against his UPR opponent at the #1 court, and No. 54 Garoz won 6-0, 6-1 at the #2 court. At the #3 court,
Edoardo Melindo shut out his opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 score and
Reese Hilsen won his second collegiate singles flight with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout himself. The remaining court for FSC highlighted the day with the first collegiate win for
Luke Lau as a Moccasin with a 6-1, 6-3 victory. The sixth court was won by default with the limited UPR players.

The Mocs will travel to Miami Shores to resume conference play to face No. 5 Barry University on Saturday, March 23, set for a 2 p.m. start at the Buccaneer Tennis Center.
