LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's tennis upset No. 15 Wingate University with a 4-2 victory Monday afternoon at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.

The Mocs (6-3, 1-1 SSC) lost the doubles point but rallied with four slight wins in singles for the match victory. The Bulldogs (3-3, 2-0 SAC) won doubles with quick sets but were unable to keep the momentum into singles with the 4-2 loss to the Mocs

In doubles, FSC struggled on the courts with 6-2 losses on the #1 and #3 courts.
Chris Fok Kow and
Mario Garoz lost their flight 6-2 with
Ryan Rajakar and
George Russell the same fate on the #3 court.
Matteo Feggi and
Edoardo Melindo had their #2 court unfinished up 5-2 as the point was set to the Bulldogs.

Florida Southern rallied in singles competition with four flight wins to win the match.
Bosko Boskovic opened the FSC scoring with a 6-4, 6-0 win at the #6 court, which WU answered with a 6-3, 6-3 win over
Elliott Altman at #5. The Mocs then stole all momentum with three-straight flight wins, as Fok Kow won 6-2, 6-4 and
Gabriel Jornert won 6-1, 7-6 (7-3). At the #3 court, Garoz battled No. 32 Florian Walcher, winning the first set but lost the second set. Garoz then clinched the match with a 6-3 set three win and 4-2 win for the Mocs. The flight of Russell versus No. 25 Gabriel Constantino went unfinished with the match secured to the Florida Southern.

The Mocs will head to Valdosta, Ga. for a neutral-site matchup against Georgia College and State University on Thursday, March 7, slated for a 3 p.m. start.
