AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2023-24 Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-America teams, which included Florida Southern College's
Allie Brinton. Brinton was one of four Sunshine State Conference student-athletes named to the teams.
Brinton is just the fourth women's swimming student-athlete named a CSC Academic All-American and the first since 2016. Brinton is a senior pursuing a degree in graphic design and recently won the FSC Senior Design Showcase for her work and major. A two-time CSC Academic All-District award winner, Brinton has previously been named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award, and CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team.
In the pool, Brinton is a three-time All-American with four NCAA appearances in her career. At the 2024 NCAA Championships, the Jacksonville, Fla. native was 15th overall in the 200 fly and a member of the 400 medley relay team that set a new program record. Her previous All-American honors came as part of the 800 free relay team which had a top 16 finish in the 2022-23 NCAA Championships. Among program history, Brinton claims top two times in the 100 fly and 200 fly. At the SSC Championships, Brinton has placed in the top 10 in each of her years competing in the butterfly events.
