LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College women's swimming team opened the 2025-26 season with a dual meet win over Florida Tech on Saturday afternoon at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center Pool. This was the first dual meet win with head coach
Steven Bostick at the helm of FSC Swimming.

The meet opened with the 200 medley relay as a team of
Zoë Celi, Alexandra Alkas-Alias, Elizabeth Sikes, and
Rania Khallouqi won in 1:47.59. FSC followed with a podium sweep in the 1000 free with
Natalie True, Emma Sammons, and
Emma Huma the top three. The Mocs then had another sweep in the 200 free with
Hannah Stewart, True, and
Gabrielle Goodwin. The first Tech event win was in the 100 back as Celi finished third.

Florida Southern swept the 100 breaststroke, led by Alkas-Alias in first with 1:05.07, followed by
Alexa Paredes and
Mallory Baker. Sikes won the 200 fly ahead of teammate
Josie Strobl in third. Then a tie for first in the 50 free between Khallouqi and Tech's Olhasso with 24.91. Khallouqi won the 100 free, though in 52.75. In the 200 back, Celi and
Kaitlyn Weitz placed second and third, respectively, before a 200 BR sweep by Alkas-Alias, Baker, and Paredes. Goodwin, True, and Huma swept the 500 free before a win by Sikes in the 100 fly. Alkas-Alias won the 400 IM in 4:42.02, before a team of Khallouqi, Stewart,
Kasey Roy, and Sikes won the 400 free relay.

The Mocs will head to Tampa next weekend to take on the University of Tampa on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Riseman Aquatics Center.
