Men's Golf Tabbed Third in Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll

NORMAN, Okla. – The Florida Southern men's golf team was tabbed No. 3 in this month's Bushnell/Golfweek DII Coaches Poll. The Mocs received two first-place votes and 455 points.

After dropping to seventh in the last coaches' poll after not having started their season, the Mocs' hot start has put them into the top three for this month's poll. Florida Southern has competed in one tournament of their 2025-26 campaign, taking the title in the Hurricane Invitational.

Freshmen Jack VanderSchuur and Anthony Monteleone have proven to be strong additions to the Moccasin lineup, each with a top ten finish in the season opener. VanderSchuur finished tied-second, shooting a 4-under 212 in his collegiate debut. Monteleone shot an even 216 in his debut, with a 4-under final round.

The rest of the Moccasin lineup for the season opener consisted of some familiar faces, including Max Barile, Colton Swartz, and Corey Edgar

The next challenge for FSC arrives on Monday, Oct. 13, as they compete in the Copperhead Championship hosted by the West Florida at Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla.
