LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's swimming team opened the 2025-26 season with a dual meet win over Florida Tech on Saturday afternoon at the Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center Pool. This was the first dual meet win with head coach
Steven Bostick at the helm of FSC Swimming.

The opener was the 200 medley relay, which a team of
Michael Tretyakov, Janek Barczyk, Nino Viallon, and
Matheus Da Rocha won in 1:30.47. In the 1000 free,
Peter Csicsaky won in 9:46.51, with
Tyler King in third with 10:09.04. The next FSC win was in the 200 free with
Daniel Meszaros in first with 1:39.54 and
Daniel Cushing in third with 1:43.88.
William Eriksson won the 100 backstroke in 50.82, and Tretyakov in second with 51.52.

In the 100 breaststroke, Barczyk won in 56.22, just ahead of
Simeon Prosinski in second with 58.35. The first event win for Tech was in the 200 fly by Akos Hajagos, with FSC in second and third by
Cormac McKenney and
Jeremiah Goodwin. FSC had a podium sweep in the 50 free, led by Da Rocha in 21.08. Meszaros won his second event of the day in the 100 free (45.38) ahead of Da Rocha. Eriksson was second in the 200 backstroke, before an event win by Prosinski in the 200 BR ahead of Barczyk.

Csicsaky and Cushing were second and third in the 500 free before an event win by Viallon in the 100 fly (49.88). Prosinski won his second event with the 400 IM in 4:01.84. The final event was the 400 free relay with Meszaros, Da Rocha, Viallon, and Treyakov winning in 3:01.91

The Mocs will head to Tampa next weekend to take on the University of Tampa on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Riseman Aquatics Center.
