CHAMPIONSGATE, Fla. - The No. 3/6 Florida Southern men's golf team leads the field on the opening day of the Citrus Intercollegiate at Championsgate Golf Club with an impressive 18-under through two-rounds of stroke play.
Colton Swartz leads the Moccasins and the field on day one. He posted two under-par rounds, with a season-low 66 in the second round, one off his career-low. Swartz carded ten birdies and one eagle on the day.
Tyler Mistretta and Jack VanderSchuur both shot under-par through both rounds on day one. Mistretta finished the day in sixth, shooting three-under 141. Mistretta carded nine birdies and one eagle on the day. VanderSchuur shot a two-under 142, and carded eight birdies through the two rounds.
Rounding out the Moccasin lineup, Donte Groppuso and Max Barile finished tied-14, with a one-over performance.
Freshman Anthony Monteleone competed as an individual, finishing the day in 27th, shooting four-over.
