NORMAN, Okla. – The GCAA announced the 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars for Division II on Monday afternoon, with Florida Southern men's golf's Max Barile, Tyler Mistretta, and Colton Swartz named as All-America Scholars. 

All three golfers are coming off a historic 2025-26 season, where the team captured it's 14th national title and first since 2017. Barile, Mistretta, and Swartz were all part of the Moccasin lineup throughout the 5-day, 6-round event. 

Barile led the Mocs with eight top-10 finishes this season, including seven consecutive before Florida Southern won the program's 14th NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship on May 22. Barile earned his first collegiate victory by six strokes at the Las Vegas Desert Classic on March 3, recording a career-low 14-under 202 (68-69-65). Carding a 70.49 scoring average, Barile was named the Jack Nicklaus Division II Golfer of the Year, a 2026 PING First Team All-American, PING All-South Region, Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Golfer of the Year,First Team All-SSC, and the (Florida Southern) Hal Smeltzly Male Athlete of the Year in 2025-26, while also being selected to the Sunshine State Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

Mistretta earned recognition as a GCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar for a second straight year after another standout season that also saw him garner PING All-America Third Team honors. The graduate student made his third consecutive NCAA Championship appearance and helped lead Florida Southern to the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championship. He fired a career-low 64 in the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Championship to finish third individually with a career-best 54-hole score of 205. Mistretta also went 2-1 in match play, winning his final-round match to help secure the national title for the Moccasins. In addition to earning PING All-South Region and All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team honors, he recorded three top-10 finishes during the 2025-26 season and finished the year ranked No. 27 in the Clippd rankings. Mistretta also collected his first Academic All-America honor after earning Academic All-District recognition in each of the previous three seasons.

Swartz earned GCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors following another outstanding season in which he was also named a PING All-American Second Team selection. The junior, who earned PING First Team All-America honors in 2024-25, competed in all 13 tournaments and helped lead the Moccasins to six team victories, including Sunshine State Conference and NCAA Division II National Championship titles. Swartz captured two individual tournament championships, highlighted by winning the Sunshine State Conference individual title with an 8-under-par 208 to help Florida Southern secure its second consecutive SSC Championship. He also posted a 2-1 record in NCAA Championship match play and earned PING All-South Region and All-Sunshine State Conference First Team honors.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

209 NCAA Division II athletes from 77 schools earned 2025-26 Cobalt All-America Scholar honors. 22 NCAA Division II schools had at least four recipients, including Catawba (5), Eckerd (5), Miles (5), Rockhurst (5), St. Mary's (TX) (5), and West Florida (5). Tiffin and UMSL tied for the most recipients from one school in NCAA Division II with six.
