CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 21 Florida Southern College women's swimming team faced the University of Miami in a dual meet on Friday afternoon at the Norman Whitten Pool.

The Moccasins dropped the meet 192-66 in points, competing in 14 events over the course of the day.

The meet opened with the 200 medley relay as the Mocs finished in second with a time of 1:45.48. The next event was the 1000 free as
Natalie True finished in third with a time of 10:26.62 and
Emma Huma in fourth with 10:55.82. For the 200 free,
Rania Khallouqi was the top Moc finisher with a time of 1:52.77. In the 100 back,
Zoë Celi finished second in 57.28, followed by the 100 breaststroke, and
Alexa Paredes in second with 1:04.88.

For the 200 fly,
Elizabeth Sikes was second in 2:03.77 (B cut) before
Mallory Baker finished third with a time of 24.38 in the 50 free. The second half of the meet started with the 100 free, as Khallouqi was third in 52.05, followed by the 200 back as
Lauren Helminiak was third in a time of 2:09.19. Paredes then won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:25.13, and
Emma Sammons, the sole Moc in the 500 free, with a time of 5:15.99. In the 100 fly, Baker finished with a time of 58.01, before the final individual event of the day saw
Gabrielle Goodwin as the top FSC finisher with a time of 2:09.49. The last event of the meet was the 400 free relay, with a 3:31.50 time.

The Mocs will have their next competition in South Carolina for a midseason invite, Nov. 19-21 in Columbia, S.C.
