LAKELAND, Fla. – Head coach
Marty Ward of the Florida Southern College men's lacrosse team announced the 2026 schedule for the program Friday morning (Dec. 5). The schedule features six home contests, seven road matchups and one neutral site game. The Moccasins will visit both North Carolina and Colorado during non-conference play while the rest of the schedule will be competed within the state of Florida.
Six of the Moccasin opponents were ranked in the final USILA / Blatant Lacrosse 2025 Men's Coaches Division II Poll including second-ranked Tampa, seventh-ranked Wingate, 12
th-ranked Flagler, 13
th-ranked Colorado Mesa, and 19
th-ranked Rollins (twice). Five of the six contests against ranked opponents will take place on the road with the lone home contest being versus Rollins on April 11.
"We are really excited about our schedule this season," said Head Coach Ward. "We are looking to make a run at an SSC championship in 2026 and feel like our schedule is challenging and will get us ready for the SSC. We are fired up to get going in January!"
The 2026 season opens with back-to-back road contests at 19
th-ranked Rollins on Feb. 1 and at seventh-ranked Wingate on Feb. 7. The Moccasins make their home debut three weeks into the season on Valentine's Day as Saint Leo visits Lakeland for a non-conference contest. The very next weekend is another ranked road match-up as the Mocs visit 12
th-ranked Flagler on Feb. 21. Just two days later, FSC returns home to face Rockhurst, a first time opponent for the Mocs out of Kansas City, Mo.
FSC opens March with a road trip to Colorado where FSC will face Adams State on the campus of Colorado Mesa for a neutral site contest on March 3. The Mocs will take on the host, 13
th-ranked Colorado Mesa on March 5.
Over two weeks later, FSC opens up Sunshine State Conference play on the road at second-ranked Tampa on March 21. One week later, the Mocs will make their SSC home debut versus Palm Beach Atlantic on March 28.
The Moccasins close out the regular season in April as Lynn (Apr. 4), Rollins (Apr. 11) and Embry-Riddle (Apr. 15) visit Lakeland while the Mocs travel to Saint Leo (Apr. 1) and Florida Tech (Apr. 8). The Sunshine State Conference Championship is set to begin April 18 with the Championship being contested on April 25.
