LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's lacrosse team was honored for the fifth-straight season with the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (USILA) Academic Team Award for the team's performance in the classroom while senior
Brydon Robichaud was named a USILA Scholar All-American for his efforts both on the field and in the classroom.
In order to earn a USILA Academic Team Award the program needs to compile a team GPA of 3.00 or above for the season and the Mocs were one of just 31 programs throughout NCAA Division II to receive the honor. The Mocs were joined on the list be fellow Sunshine State Conference members Embry-Riddle, Florida Tech, Lynn and Rollins.
In 1989, the USILA Scholar All-America Program was established to recognize student-athletes from USILA member institutions who have distinguished themselves academically, athletically and as citizens of their communities. The USILA Selection Committee selects an overall team representing Division I, II and III. The Scholar All-Americans are recognized at the annual Lacrosse All-America Banquet.
A Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach and be a student with a senior year academic standing and a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). The nominee will have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.
Robichaud, a Third Team All-SSC selection and CSC Academic All-District honoree, earns USILA Scholar All-America honors after posting a perfect 4.00 GPA over his four-year career. The senior led the Mocs this season with 11 assists while ranking second on the team in points with 26. His 15 goals scored place him tied for third on the squad. He scored a season-high two goals in four different contests while posting a season-high of two assists twice. He scored the game-winning goal at Palm Beach Atlantic and had at least one point in all but one contest on the year.
Robichaud represents the seventh Moccasin all-time to earn USILA Scholar All-American honors joining

Jeff Atlas (2019-22) and
