LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida Southern women's lacrosse head coach Kara Reber announces the 2026 slate, featuring 17 games with nine being played at home at Berend Field.
"We are so excited for the spring season to arrive," said Reber. "While we return a lot of our starting defense, you will see a new goalie in cage along with an entirely new offensive lineup. We have an extremely difficult schedule with numerous nationally ranked teams along the way, but we are up for the challenge and looking forward to the start of spring."
12 of the Mocs 16 opponents ended the 2025 season ranked in the top 25 of the IWLCA Coaches Poll, including the 2025 national champion, Tampa, who the Mocs will face later in the season during conference play.
The Moccasins open the season on a road trip, travelling up to Wingate, N.C., to face Wingate on February 8th, before returning home to face Lynn in a non-conference match. Florida Southern returns north again to Huntsville, Ala. to face the University of Alabama in Huntsville (Feb. 19) and the University of Indianapolis (Feb. 21).
When the Mocs return to the Sunshine State, they play one more non-conference game on the road at Flagler (Feb. 26), before a home stretch over spring break (Mar. 2-7). The Moccasins play five non-conference games at home before opening their SSC slate against Saint Leo on March 25th at home.
The Mocs will then face Lynn for the second time of the season on the road (Mar. 28), before making a trip to Daytona Beach, Fla. to face Embry-Riddle (Apr. 1). Florida Southern will play defending national champions, Tampa, at home on April 4, before a pair of games on the road at Palm Beach Atlantic (Apr. 8) and Rollins (Apr. 11). The Mocs will close the season at home against Florida Tech on April 14th. Five of the seven other SSC schools were ranked in the last IWLCA Coaches Poll to end the 2025 season.
