OCALA, Fla. – The No. 24 Florida Southern College women's swimming team is in fourth overall after day two of the Sunshine State Conference championships at the F.A.S.T. Center.

The Moccasins sit in fourth place with 119 points. Leading the women's championship is Nova Southeastern with 262 points, followed by Tampa (250 points), and Lynn (162 points).

In prelims, the Mocs opened with the 200 IM where
Vanda Voroshazy led the Mocs with a 2:06.21 time and A final cut.
Ainsley L. Bennett was just outside the B final and finished 17
th overall with a time of 2:08.61.
Zoë Celi (25
th) and
Alexa Paredes (30
th) wrapped up the FSC swims for that event. In the 50 free,
Sam Hunter qualified for the A final after a 23.41 time.
Ana Sales finished 18
th overall in 24.14 with
Elizabeth Sikes (24
th) and
Phoebe Reid (26
th) representing the top 30 finishers.

In the 1000 free finals,
Olivia Miles led FSC with a fifth-place finish in 10:14.20 (B cut).
Emma Sammons finished 12
th overall in 10:38.33 and
Anya Bogdanova 17
th overall in 10:46.23. In the A final of the 200 IM, Voroshazy finished sixth in a time of 2:04.21 (B cut) as the sole Moccasin in that event. Representing FSC in the 50 free A final, Hunter finished eighth in a time of 23.48.

The final event was the 200 medley relay as a team of Celi,
Alizee Pelletier, Sikes, and Hunter finished sixth overall in a time of 1:44.01. The B team of
Kaitlyn Weitz, Paredes, Voroshazy, and Sales then finished 10
th overall in 1:46.10.

The Mocs will continue with day three of the SSC Championships to include the 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, and 400 medley relay events, all at the F.A.S.T. Center. Prelims are set to begin at 10 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
