LAKELAND, Fla. – More late inning heroics by the No. 6 Florida Southern College baseball team to complete the series sweep against Barry University on Saturday afternoon at Henley Field.

The Moccasins (14-2, 5-1 SSC) ignited the runs in game one today for a 13-8 run and had their second walk-off of the series in game two for the sweep. The Buccaneers (6-10, 0-6) were unable to hold off the Mocs in the first game of the day and gave up another walk-off to remain winless in conference.

GAME 1
FLORIDA SOUTHERN 13, BARRY 8
The Mocs stuck first in the first game of the day with three runs in the first inning. RBI singles by
Grant Thoroman and
Jack Duffy scored runs with a sac fly by
Noah Rabin the FSC runs scored. The Bucs responded in the second and fourth inning to tie the game, 3-3, before FSC took the lead again on a sac fly by Duffy. Barry tied the game, 4-4, in the fifth inning before the Mocs scored seven unanswered over the next three innings.
Mikey Scott batted nearly all those runs in with a two-run homer, RBI double, and two RBI single, finishing the game a triple shy of hitting for the cycle.

The Bucs staged a rally in the eighth, scoring four, though still three runs behind into the bottom of the eighth, 11-8. FSC added two insurance runs in the bottom half of the eighth to win 13-8.
Brandon Jung got his second win of the season on the mound, going seven innings with four strikeouts.
Wyatt Clark entered with a productive 1.2 innings pitched, allowing no runs, as
David Butz entered to record the final out on a swinging strikeout.

GAME 2
FLORIDA SOUTHERN 11, BARRY 10
The series finale had a rough start with a 4-0 top of the first by Barry, including two home runs. The Mocs cut into the score with an RBI triple by
Rohsean Riley and an RBI single by
Chris McKenna for a 4-2 Barry lead through two innings. FSC followed with four runs scored in the third with two-run homers by Rabin and
Jorge Santana III for a 6-4 lead. The Bucs added some runs to tie as the teams traded the lead into the final inning. Barry had a 10-8 lead into the home half of the ninth inning, though quickly ran into trouble with a lead-off single, RBI double, and bunt by
Brady Doorey to put runners at the corners in a 10-9 BU lead. McKenna had a single to put two in scoring position, allowing
Jevin Relaford to bat a two RBI single down the left field line to walk-off and win 11-10.

The Mocs will have a midweek game against Roosevelt University on Tuesday, March 4, set for a 6 p.m. start at Henley Field before a trip to Carson-Newman next weekend.
