LAKELAND, Fla - The No.29 Florida Southern College women's tennis team earned a 7-0 win over Thomas Jefferson University on Thursday afternoon to improve their win streak to eight.

In doubles action, the Moccasins (8-2) earned the early point with all three doubles pairs sweeping as both #1 and #2 pairs of
Kennedi Brown and
Kelly Klaren and
Annika Berrendorf and
Jolie Miller defeated the Rams (8-10) 6-2 wins. The #3 doubles
Elin Axler and
Karina Bazilevych also defeated their Rams opponent with a 6-4 final score to take a 1-0 lead.

In singles action,
Beatriz Costa earned the first win for FSC at the #2 singles spot dominating her opponent 6-4, 6-1. Jennewein followed to make it 3-0 in favor of the Mocs winning 6-3, 6-2. To clinch the 4-0 win, was Berrendorf at the #3 court winning 6-1, 6-4.Â

Florida Southern continued play winning the remaining matches with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the top court with No.37

Kennedi Brown followed at court five winning her match 6-2, 6-2. At court six Miller won her court due to the Rams retiring to give a 7-0 win in favor of the Mocs.Â

Florida Southern returns to action on tomorrow, March 14 as they host Slippery Rock University. The first serve is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
