LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College baseball team will host the NCAA South #2 Regional Tournament, after receiving a No. 2 seed in the South Region, the program's 44
th NCAA postseason appearance.

Eight teams, with two host sites in four team fields, were selected from the South Region. West Florida earned the No. 3 seed, behind the host (2) Florida Southern. Other participants include (6) Delta State University and (7) the University of West Alabama. The action will take place on May 15-18 in Lakeland at Henley Field.

FSC will take on the Gulf South Conference champion West Alabama for the Mocs' first game of the tournament. The three seed, West Florida, will face Delta State University in their first matchup.

The University of Tampa was selected as the No. 1 seed in the South and will host Albany State University, Mississippi College, and Lynn University in the South Region #1 bracket. The tournament at each of the four-team sites will be double elimination, beginning on May 15
th, with the winners of each bracket facing off in a best-of-three series in the NCAA Super Regional May 22-24.

Florida Southern has its first regional appearance since the 2023 season when the Mocs were selected as the No. 7 seed in a tournament hosted by West Florida. This is the first time since 2018 that the Mocs hosted the regional tournament. Florida Southern went 3-0 in the region in the 2018 tournament, the program's 21
st region championship, later finishing in third place in the NCAA Championship. FSC ties NCAA Division II record nine national championships with a 153-84 overall record in the NCAA postseason.
