LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College department of athletics welcomes
McKenna Davidson as an assistant athletic trainer, announced by head athletic trainer
Reginald Mungrue.

"We are excited to welcome McKenna to our staff," shared Mungrue. "We look forward to her work and enthusiasm in working with our training staff at Florida Southern. McKenna will be responsible for the care of men's basketball and men's soccer, and we know she will be a valuable asset to those programs."

Davidson joined FSC after spending the last two years as an athletic trainer at Glenbard East High School in Illinois. She served as the primary AT to provide care to each of the teams, while also assisting in the oversight of the high school athletic training students. Davidson spent her student clinical time at Benedictine University, Central College, Bondurant High School, Grand View University, and Carlisle High School.

"I look forward to working alongside such a talented team and our Athletics Department as we work toward our shared goal of preparing student-athletes for success on and off the field."Â

A graduate of Grand View University, Davidson first earned her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Health Promotion in 2021 while also competing in cross country and track & field. Davidson followed with her Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2023, also at Grand View. She holds certifications as a board-certified athletic trainer, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialization, NASM Certified Sports Nutrition Coach, and IHSA Body Fat Certification. She has also served in roles as a Big Ten Independent Medical Spotter, Illinois Athletic Training Association Board Member, and National Women in Sports Annual Presenter.
