BOCA RATON, Fla. — No. 12 Florida Southern College men's swimming had a close loss to No. 8 Lynn University on Saturday in the final regular-season dual meet of the year.

The Moccasins dropped the dual meet 135-127 points, despite some great events by the squad before next month's Sunshine State Conference Championships.

Florida Southern excelled in several events, including first place in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:20.27, earning 11 points through the efforts of
Michael Tretyakov, Janek Barczyk, Nino Viallon, and
Matheus Da Rocha. Additionally,
Peter Csicsaky dominated the 1000-yard freestyle and the 500 free, winning both events.
Will Neville also achieved a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 46.13 and adding another 9 points.

In the 100-yard backstroke, Tretyakov delivered a strong performance by securing second place with a time of 51.06, accumulating 4 points. Da Rocha achieved second place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.97, and he also secured second in the 100-yard freestyle. Barczyk led the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing first in 56.32 and adding 9 points to the team's score. The 400-yard freestyle relay team, featuring Viallon, Da Rocha,
Daniel Meszaros, and Neville, capped off the event with a first-place finish in 3:00.83, earning an additional 11 points.

The Mocs will prepare for the SSC Championships, taking place Feb. 11-15 at the FAST Center in Ocala, Fla.
