LAKELAND, Fla. - The Florida Southern College softball season opener scheduled for Saturday against Georgia Southwestern State University has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather.

The doubleheader has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 8, with first pitch set for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The originally scheduled contests against Young Harris and Georgia College have been canceled.

The Moccasins will now officially open the 2026 season on Friday, Feb. 6, in Columbus, Ga., where they will face Auburn University at Montgomery and Tuskegee in games hosted by Columbus State University.
