GREENSBORO, N.C. - The 2026 ABCA NCAA Division II Region All-Defensive teams have been announced, with Florida Southern College's Cory Filley selected as an All-South catcher.
 
Filley, a two-time Sunshine State Conference All-Defensive Team selection, earned the first regional award of his career, joining Drew Cavanaugh as FSC catchers selected. He is the sixth all-time Moccasin named to an ABCA South Region All-Defensive Team.
 
With a near-perfect .996 fielding percentage, Filley had 242 putouts, 27 assists, and caught 12 stealing. At the plate, Filley batted .263 with 47 hits and 33 RBI. The Dade City, Fla. native had a team-best 20-game hitting streak early in the season, recording 13 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games. In his two seasons with Florida Southern, Filley has accumulated nearly 500 putouts, 57 assists, 31 caught stealing, and a .995 fielding percentage.
