LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern women's tennis wrapped up day two of the 2026 FSC Invite on Sunday, with inclement weather limiting play to doubles competition in the spring season opener.
Despite the shortened day, the Mocs continued to show strength in doubles action, collecting a pair of wins against University North Carolina Wilmington opponents. The duo of
Emily Jennewein and
Ronja Scheuermann delivered a convincing 6-2 victory over Catino and Borcich, building on their strong opening-day performance.
Jolie Miller and
Annika Berrendorf followed with a hard-fought 7-5 win over Hubbard and Aberwein, showcasing resilience in a tightly contested match.
Kennedi Brown and
Josie Holderbach battled in a competitive 6-4 decision against Arli and Albayrak of UNCW, while
Elona Simonov and
Diana Volkov dropped a close 6-4 match to Glickstein and Keles.
With weather preventing the completion of singles play, the Mocs conclude the opening weekend of the 2026 spring season with positive momentum in doubles competition.
Florida Southern will jump right into Sunshine State Conference action on Thursday, March 12. The first serve is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Winter Park, Fla. at the Tiedtke Tennis Courts
