BOULDER CITY, Nev. - After another round of 289 (+1), the No. 4 Florida Southern men's golf team fell to third in the Las Vegas Desert Classic after two rounds of play at the Boulder Creek Golf Course in Boulder City, Nev.
Max Barile currently leads the Mocs, staying strong at second place overall. He shot a 3-under 69 in the second round, carding five birdies on the day.
Tyler Mistretta posted an under-par round, vaulting him up the leader board to tied-23rd. Mistretta shot a 2-under 70 with five birdies on day two. He sits tied with fellow Moc Anthony Monteleone, who shot 75 (+3) on the day.
Donte Groppuso finished the first round with a 3-over 75. Despite shooting three over, he carded four birdies on the day for a tied-51st finish.
Colton Swartz rounds out the Moccasin lineup, finishing the day tied-86th. He finished the round 4-over for a two round score of 155 (+11).
Lincoln Memorial jumped into first place, shooting 14-under on the day, leading the field with a two-round score of 565 (-11). Edward Mason (Lincoln Memorial) sprang into the individual lead with a 134 (-10). Mason shot 65 in today's round with two eagles and three birdies for a bogey-free round.
