LAKELAND, Fla. — Florida Southern women's tennis (10-3) overwhelmed Emporia State University (6-5) with a decisive 7-0 victory on Friday at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. The Mocs secured the doubles point by winning all three pairs and swept all six singles matches.

Ronja Scheuermann started the momentum with a 6-0 win over Giovanna Ferreira and Sheriden Wichman. The No. 3 doubles pair of
Annika Berrendorf and
Jolie Miller followed up with a 6-3 victory against Giulia Russu and Ana Fatjo Coll. FSC sealed the doubles point as the No. 1 duo of #49
Kennedi Brown and
Josie Holderbach defeated Yuliya Klimova and Carla Paul Piquer, 6-4.
In singles, the Moccasins continued its impressive performance. Berrendorf secured the first singles point at No. 4 singles with a swift 6-0, 6-0 win over Sheriden Wichman. #55 Jennewein then extended the lead at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Carla Paul Piquer. Brown clinched the team victory at No. 6 singles, defeating Erin Cahill 6-0, 6-3.
The home team added to their lead as #20 Holderbach won No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4, against Giovanna Ferreira.
Elin Axler contributed with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles over Giulia Russu. Finally, Scheuermann completed the sweep at No. 2 singles by overcoming Yuliya Klimova in a tight match, 7-6(7), 6-4.
