LAKELAND, Fla. — No. 14 Florida Southern College men's tennis (5-3) defeated Southern New Hampshire University (2-3) 7-0 on Tuesday at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. Florida Southern secured the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions and swept all six singles matches.

Mario Garoz and
Edoardo Melindo initiated the scoring with a 6-4 win over Noah Cadillac and Marcos Castaneda at No. 3 doubles.
George Russell and
Onur Turgut then clinched the point, defeating Albert Modol and Vicente Preto 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. The Penmen managed to capture a win at No. 2 doubles as Aurel Creveuil and Carlos Molero edged
Bosko Boskovic and
Gabriel Jornert 7-6(7).
In singles, the Moccasins dominated, sweeping all six matches. Garoz quickly extended the lead with a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Vicente Preto at No. 1 singles.
Mario Antonio Morales followed with a decisive 6-1, 6-1 win against Noah Cadillac at No. 6 singles, and Boskovic added another point by defeating Marcos Castaneda 6-1, 7-6(7) at No. 5 singles.
Marco Cinotti sealed the match for the Mocs with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Albert Modol at No. 4 singles.
Matthew Hewitt further solidified the lead, taking down Aurel Creveuil 7-6(7), 6-2 at No. 2 singles. In a competitive encounter at No. 3 singles, Turgut overcame Carlos Molero in three sets, 6-7(6), 6-2, 10-6, concluding a comprehensive performance for Florida Southern at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.
