Vetter and Swartz Named SSC Players of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference Players of the Week have been announced, with Florida Southern College's Jenna Vetter named Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and Colton Swartz named Men's Golfer Player of the Week.

Jenna Vetter was named SSC Offensive Player of the Week as an instrumental part of the #2/#2 Mocs' 2-0 week to open SSC play. The Mocs defeated #11/#13 Saint Leo in a double overtime thriller on Wednesday, 15-14, before defeating #8/#11 Lynn for the second time this season 10-6. In the week's opener, Vetter scored a career-high nine goals, tying the program record for goals in a single game set by Haley Daleo in 2022. Vetter was instrumental in the Mocs clawing back at multiple leads by the Lions, including the game-tying goal to send the game to overtime.

Against Lynn, Vetter was once again the Mocs' leading goal scorer, with three goals and one assist. Her stat line for the week was 12 goals, one assist, 15 SOG, and two groundballs.

Colton Swartz was named SSC Golfer of the Week after taking home the individual title at the Shark Invitational for his first win of the season and the third of his career. On the opening day, he led the Mocs and was tied for first overall with rounds of 66 and 67. He posted a bogey-free opening round with five birdies before following up with three birdies and an eagle in round two. He birdied two straight holes to close round one and opened the second round with a birdie for three straight.
