LAKELAND, Fla. — Florida Southern College men's tennis (7-3) secured a 5-2 victory over No. 21 Ferris State University (7-2) on Sunday at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center. Florida Southern clinched the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions and added four victories in singles play.

George Russell and
Onur Turgut clinched a 6-3 win over Adrian Catahan and Erik Kovacs at No. 1 doubles, while
Bosko Boskovic and
Gabriel Jornert followed with a 6-3 victory against Kacper Pasielak and Jose Perez at No. 2 doubles. FSU claimed a win at No. 3 doubles, with Felipe Iser and Kevin Kovacs defeating
Mario Garoz and
Edoardo Melindo 6-3.
In singles play,
Marco Cinotti provided a strong start for FSC with a straight-set victory at No. 4 singles, defeating Praneel Pichika 6-0, 6-4. At No. 1 singles, #21 Kevin Kovacs of the Bulldogs overcame #15 Garoz 6-3, 6-3. FSU added another point when #39 Jose Perez defeated
Matthew Hewitt 6-2, 7-5 at No. 2 singles.
The Moccasins rallied with wins in the remaining singles matches. Turgut claimed a 6-4, 7-6(3) win at No. 3 singles over Iser, and #53 Boskovic edged Erik Kovacs 7-6(5), 7-5 at No. 5 singles. #45
Mario Antonio Morales secured the final point for Florida Southern College with a 6-7(5), 6-2, 10-7 victory over Andrew Vincler at No. 6 singles, concluding the match with a 5-2 overall score.
