VALDOSTA, Ga. - With rounds of 283 and 280, the No. 4 Florida Southern men's golf team sits in fifth after two rounds of play at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga.
Max Barile currently leads the Mocs, sitting tied-4th, shooting 6-under on the day. He finished the first two rounds with a 138. Barile opened the day with a bogey-free round, shooting six-under. He shot even in round two, carding 10 birdies on the day.
Donte Groppuso trails Barile by one stroke, finishing two rounds of play with a score of 135. He carded three birdies in the opening round, and seven in round two (with five on the back nine). Groppuso sits tied-10th at 5-under.
Tyler Mistretta and Colton Swartz both closed day one tied-27th, with a two-round score of 139. Swartz shot one-under in round one while Mistretta shot a bogey-free, four-under second round. Swartz carded six birdies and an eagle on the day, while Mistretta carded five birdies.
Chris Pollak competed as an individual for the Mocs and sits tied-62nd. He shot even in round one, carding six birdies, and added another birdie and eagle in round two. He posts a two-round score of 148 (+4).
Anthony Monteleone rounds out the Moccasin lineup, sitting tied-67th. He finished the day 5-over with five birdies on the day.
Lincoln Memorial currently holds the team lead, with a 24-under team score of 552. Harry Dickins of Lincoln Memorial also holds the individual lead with a 13-under 131.
