LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's lacrosse program picked up six All-Conference honors when the Sunshine State Conference announced its annual awards Wednesday afternoon (April 22). Freshman
Elijah Terry earned the second-straight SSC Freshman of the Year honor for FSC men's lacrosse, the third in program history.
Junior
Maddux Walton and senior
Jacob Czyz represented FSC on the First Team while Terry and junior
Alex Haughn appeared on the Second Team. FSC's final two honorees, senior
Jack Epley and sophomore
Luke Secreti, were chosen for the Third Team.
Terry, a Shreveport, La. native, appeared in all 15 contests for the Moccasins and is currently tied for second overall in points (31) while ranking third in goals (23) and fourth in assists (8). The rookie has scored the game-winning goal in each of the last two Moccasin contests which were both decided by one goal. He scored a career-high four goals in the regular season finale win over Embry-Riddle 11-10. He tallied two other hat tricks at Colorado Mesa and at Saint Leo while tallying four or more points in four contests.
Terry becomes the third SSC Freshman of the Year in program history as he joins
Matt Flammenspeck who earned the honor in 2022 and
Carson Corona who took home the honor last season.
Walton, a Columbia, Md. product, collects his second career postseason honor after earning All-SSC Second Team honors following last season. This season he has started all 15 contents for the Mocs while leading the team in goals (37) and points (51) while ranking second in assists (14). He has tallied eight hat tricks this season with a season-high five goals coming against Adams State. Over the last three contents, including a pair of victories over Rollins, he has scored eight goals and handed out a pair of assists while tallying nine shots in each of the three games. He currently ranks second in the conference in goals per game (2.38) while ranking 10
th in assists per game (0.94). His 3.31 points per game average ranks third in the league.
Czyz, a Baldwinsville, N.Y. native, picks up his fourth-straight SSC All-Conference honors and third First Team selection. The senior has been named SSC Specialist of the Week 11 times in his career, including three times this season. He currently ranks second in the NCAA in ground balls per game (10.87) and fifth in face off winning percentage (.688) while leading the conference in both categories. He scored six goals this season including one in each of the last two contests. He had double-digit faceoff wins in 14 of the 15 contests in which he appeared including a season-high of 23 versus Adams State early in the season. He had seven double-digit ground ball performances with a season-best 19 versus Adams State.
Haughn, a Powell, Ohio native, picks up his first All-SSC honor. The junior started all 15 contests on defense for the Moccasins. He finished second on the team with 19 caused turnovers as well as 41 ground balls. He had a season-high three caused turnovers versus Rockhurst as well as versus Rollins in the opening round of the SSC Championship. He also scooped up a season-high six ground balls versus Rockhurst as well.
Epley, an Oakwood, Ohio native, makes his first appearance on the All-SSC list in his final season in Lakeland. The senior appeared in every contest this season while making 13 starts. He tallied six goals and five assists to finish with 11 points. He tallied a single goal over six contests with the most recent coming versus Embry-Riddle in the regular season finale. He handed out a season-best two assists on the road at Saint Leo. He also earned six caused turnovers including a season-high two versus Saint Leo.
Secreti, a Watertown, N.Y. native, makes his first appearance on the All-SSC list in his first season in Lakeland. The sophomore has appeared in 12 of the Moccasins 15 contests this season. He has seen nearly 649 minutes in goal with a 6-4 overall record. He has a 10.36 goals against average and a .509 saves percentage. He has had double-digit saves in his last nine appearances with a season-best 15 coming in the regular season finale versus Embry-Riddle.
The Mocs will take on No. 2 Tampa in the semifinals of the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championship Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
