Mocs Tabbed First in Latest NCAA Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS – The Florida Southern women's lacrosse team was ranked #1 in this week's NCAA Regional rankings. 

The Mocs finished the regular season 15-1, going a perfect 7-0 in conference play. Florida Southern then went on to the Sunshine State Conference Championship as the 1-seed, where they defeated Embry-Riddle and Tampa to claim both the SSC Regular Season and SSC Tournament Titles. The Mocs rank #2/#2 nationally in both the IWLCA Coaches Poll and the USA Lacrosse Magazine Rankings. 

Florida Southern's lone loss of the season comes to the team ranked #2 in this week's regional ranking Flagler, who has since held the top spot in both the IWLCA Coaches Poll and the USA Lacrosse Magazine rankings since, with a pristine 19-0 record. 

With the Mocs SSC Tournament Championship, Florida Southern clinched an AQ bid to the NCAA South Regional. Final bids and seeding will be announced in the 2026 NCAA DII Women's Lacrosse Selection Show, Sunday, May 3rd at 8:30 PM ET on NCAA.com

The South Regional tournament will be held May 7th, 9th, and 16th. The winners of each of the four regions will advance to the NCAA Semifinals in Rochester, N.Y. on May 21st.
