VALDOSTA, Ga. - The No. 4 Florida Southern men's golf team opened the NCAA South/Southeast Regional on Thursday. The Mocs currently lead the field before the round was suspended due to weather delays and darkness. Florida Southern sits at 10-under through holes 14-18.
Tyler Mistretta and Max Barile lead the way for the Red and White, each tied-3rd at 4-under. Tyler holds a bogey-free round so far with one hole left to play, carding four birdies and 13 pars. Barile has carded five birdies through 15 holes, still left to face a par 4, a par 3, and another par 4.
Colton Swartz sits on the bubble of the top-10, standing tied-12th through 14 holes. He is currently 2-under, with four birdies so far in the round.
Anthony Monteleone makes his first NCAA tournament appearance, shooting even so far in the round. He carded an eagle and three birdies in 15 holes. Monteleone sits tied-29th.
Donte Groppuso rounds out the Moccasin lineup as the only Moc to finish round one. The graduate student shot a 2-over round of 74 to open the tournament. He currently sits tied-56th in the field of 108 golfers.

The Moccasins will resume the round tomorrow at 7:30 AM. Round two will begin approximately 45 minutes following the completion of round one, with a shotgun start.
